This is it, the twelfth and final round of the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is going down today in Crawfordsville, IL at the Christi Hubler Chevrolet Ironman National. Setting the fastest lap of the day and getting that ever-so-important first gate pick was Jeffrey Herlings in the 450 Class and Adam Cianciarulo in the 250 Class — for his fifth fastest qualifier this year.

Chase Sexton had the fastest time early and through most of the session, but with around 15 seconds left on the clock, Cianciarulo knocks him off the top with a 2:12.676. Then, right at the end, Jeremy Martin grabbed the second fastest time with a 2:12.823. The championship may have been decided last weekend but the rest of the class are looking to dice it out to the end. If that is any indication of what is to come in the motos, Cianciarulo has positioned himself to finish the season strong. Cianciarulo said after the session that, “the goal today is to win.” Check out his full interview here.

Herlings lays down a blazing fast 2:08.230 lap time grabbing the top spot and first gate pick in the 450 Class. Tomac comes in with the second fastest time with a 2:09.680. Baggett follows up in third. There’s a championship on the line today and it’s shaping up to be a fight to the finish. As of right now, Tomac is 28 points ahead of Baggett and 30 points ahead of Musquin. Your title contenders finished up second, third and fourth in qualifying so today could get interesting with them all being so close in time.

Lap times and qualifying results from the practice sessions are below. First motos get underway at 1 p.m. ET. (Here’s how to watch.)
